When a track is marked as a "fan exclusive," it means that the user can only hear the song, unless they sign up and confirm to your mailing list. This is a good way to help gain mailing list fans, while providing your fans something in return for signing up.

You can mark a track as a "fan exclusive" upon upload, or you can go to Control Room -- Profile -- Songs & Videos at any time and Edit a song to this status.

Find out more about exclusive content here: http://www.reverbnation.com/main/over...

    I'm

e.g. indifferent, undecided, unconcerned kidding, amused, unsure, silly sad, anxious, confused, frustrated happy, confident, thankful, excited

  • Why are you still offering this option if it doesn’t work??? That’s completely silly. Now people are taking my songs and I can’t find any way to trace any of them... What is the best option to get close to this solution? Frankly I’ll be looking for other players or any solution to replace reverbnation's widget in case no solution is available...

What do you mean people taking your songs? You can edit the status of them at any time in the Control Room -- My Profile -- Songs area by editing the song if you do not want it to be a fan exclusive.
    • Ok, but all my songs are fan exclusive and anyone can hear and download without restriction... Is there any solution???

  • I’m frustrated
I want to know why everyone can download the song without being a fan of mine. Can you fix the problem or not? For me it’s a question of still using reverbnation or rip it off. Clearly, people are downloading my songs without being asked to give their adress. Why?

    Hi Franz

It appears to be prompting me to sign up for the mailing list. Remember that anyone who has logged in recently as a fan, or you as admin, will not be prompted for this. Also, if you are a fan, you can download the file as many times as you want. You can try to replicate the correct behavior by logging out, clearing the cache and cookies of your browser, restarting the browser, then coming to ReverbNation without logging in. Go to your page and just click Download beside a song, and it will correctly make you join the mailing list to download the track.
